Relation (Circle of Presence) (d)
Graphite on rough paper · 8 × 11 inches
In “Circle of Presence”, two simplified adult figures angle inward toward a seated child, forming a protective triangular structure. The child occupies both the visual and emotional center.
Behind them, a large luminous circle—sun, moon, or halo—encloses the trio within a shared field. It functions less as background than as a symbolic atmosphere.
Rounded bodies echo the circle’s curvature, reinforcing unity. The drawing proposes family as orbit: individuality remains intact, yet all forms exist within a common sphere of belonging.
